Enum CicpMatrixCoefficients

Namespace
PaintDotNet.Imaging
Assembly
PaintDotNet.Windows.Core.dll

Identifies the matrix coefficients used to derive luma and chroma signals from the source RGB primaries. These are the "MatrixCoefficients" code points defined by ITU-T H.273 (Table 4) and used by the PNG cICP chunk.

public enum CicpMatrixCoefficients : byte

Fields

Identity = 0

Identity. The samples are RGB (or GBR / XYZ); no matrixing is applied. Also IEC 61966-2-1 (sRGB) and SMPTE ST 428-1. This is the only value permitted in a PNG cICP chunk.

Bt709 = 1

Rec. ITU-R BT.709-6.

Unspecified = 2

Unspecified. The matrix coefficients are determined by the application or by other means.

Fcc = 4

United States FCC Title 47 Code of Federal Regulations 73.682 (a) (20).

Bt470Bg = 5

Rec. ITU-R BT.470-6 System B, G (historical); BT.601-7 625; BT.1358 625; BT.1700 625 PAL and SECAM.

Smpte170M = 6

Rec. ITU-R BT.601-7 525; BT.1358 525 or 625; BT.1700 NTSC; SMPTE ST 170.

Smpte240M = 7

SMPTE ST 240 (historical).

YCgCo = 8

YCgCo.

Bt2020Ncl = 9

Rec. ITU-R BT.2020-2 non-constant luminance system; Rec. ITU-R BT.2100-2 Y'CbCr.

Bt2020Cl = 10

Rec. ITU-R BT.2020-2 constant luminance system.

SmpteSt2085 = 11

SMPTE ST 2085 (Y'D'zD'x).

ChromaticityDerivedNcl = 12

Chromaticity-derived non-constant luminance system.

ChromaticityDerivedCl = 13

Chromaticity-derived constant luminance system.

ICtCp = 14

Rec. ITU-R BT.2100-2 ICtCp.

Remarks

The underlying type is byte to match the 8-bit code point in the cICP chunk. Only the values defined by H.273 are named here; reserved and unassigned values (3 and 15–255) are intentionally not enumerated, but still round-trip faithfully because the storage type is a raw byte.

For PNG, the only valid value is Identity, because PNG stores RGB (not Y'CbCr) samples. Other values are retained for faithful round-tripping and validation.
